We're up to our knees in snow here at Dropps HQ! Our winter gear has been getting a lot of use this season, whether it's been skiing, snowboarding, making snow angels, or just walking to work. It got us thinking - how often should you wash your hats, scarves, and gloves? It's important to keep these accessories clean since they are exposed to tons of germs, oils, and makeup throughout a winter season. We recommend washing them 3-5 times per season to keep the funk out!
Leather gloves should be professionally dry cleaned to protect them from stains, but most winter accessories are knit and can be hand washed at home. We recommend using a gentle detergent to protect natural fibers (like wool and cashmere). Check the label for any special cleaning instructions if your winter gear has protective water-resistant coatings like GORE-TEX®.
Stay warm out there!
